Education
✓High school diploma or equivalent.
Qualifications
✓One (1) year of building maintenance.
✓On the job training in one or more building trades.
✓Knowledge of general maintenance procedures.
✓Ability to set up and operate various tools and equipment inherent to repair and maintenance of hospital equipment, buildings and grounds.
✓Knowledge of safe use of equipment.
✓Ability to organize and achieve quality performance in new routines, procedures and skills in the function of a maintenance worker.
✓Ability to read blueprints and specifications to determine the procedure of assembling and/or maintaining hospital equipment, buildings and grounds.
✓Basic knowledge of electricity, plumbing, carpentry and painting as it relates to various duties.
✓Ability to exercise independent judgment in times of need and emergency situations.
Completion of a vocational/trade school program. preferred
Two (2) years of building maintenance. preferred
