Education
✓Required - High School diploma or equivalent
Qualifications
✓Required - 2 years of experience in Commercial, Industrial or Hospital Maintenance or completion of the Ochsner Apprenticeship program
✓Required - Valid driver’s license in the state of residence
✓Experience with all hand and power tools
✓Must be familiar with a wide range of skilled crafts including, but not limited to, plumbing, electrical, HVAC-R and carpentry.
✓Strong interpersonal skills with a can-do attitude.
✓Must be mechanically inclined with the ability to multi-task and work with minimal supervision.
✓Working knowledge of state, parish, and building codes, as well as JCAHO standards.
✓Self-directed with the ability handle the mental and physical stress/pressure to complete all jobs, including emergencies.
✓Must be able to work indoors, outdoors, and in restricted spaces for extended periods of time.
✓Basic knowledge of reading, writing and understanding mechanical and electrical symbolisms to properly interpret blueprints, schematics specifications and mechanical drawings.
✓Must be able to properly handle power and hand tools required to perform job duties effectively.
✓Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills with the ability to apply effective judgment when performing job duties.
✓Must be able to work on-call for emergencies and extended hours.
