Education
Bachelor’s degree or ongoing course work in biological/health science, preferably with focus on genetics from an accredited college or university. preferred
Qualifications
✓Strong computer skills and experience with Microsoft Office software, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
✓Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication (both verbal and written) skills.
✓Experience in Genetics and able to demonstrate knowledge of genetic terminology and concepts.
✓Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information, e.g. protected health information (PHI).
✓Moderate to advanced computer skills required.
✓Demonstrated strong interpersonal skills, including communicating clearly and sensitively with patients, families, referring clinicians, and research colleagues.
✓Ability to analyze information and situations, prioritize tasks, develop solutions and make recommendations.
✓Ability to use good judgment and work independently, and in a team setting.
✓Ability to adapt to an ever-changing, fast-paced environment.
✓Ability to solve problems and identify solutions.
✓Strong organizational skills.
✓Ability to speak and write effectively at a level appropriate for the job demonstrating culturally competent and age-specific communication.
✓Ability to apply C-I-CARE philosophies and demonstrate customer service skills in interactions with all patients, families, and staff, including during high volume times and stressful interactions.
