You’ll need
Certifications
✓Basic Life Support (BLS)
✓1-2 years as a Surgical Tech, GI Tech, Medical Assistant, CNA, Patient Care Associate, Corpsman or other relevant medical experience.
Certified Endoscope Reprocessor (CER) through the Healthcare Sterile Processing Association (HSPA) preferred
Education
✓High School Diploma or GED
Qualifications
2 or more years working in a health care environment as GI Tech or PCA. preferred
Necessary Skills preferred
Knowledge of patient care and basic human needs throughout the life span. preferred
Knowledge of medical terminology. preferred
Knowledge of aseptic techniques. preferred
Knowledge of acute and chronic disease process. preferred
Knowledge of standard precautions. preferred
Basic knowledge of anatomic structure and human body system. preferred
Age of Patients Served: Adult (18-64 years) Geriatric (=>65 years) preferred
