You’ll need
Licensure
✓A person may remain in the Graduate Practical Nurse position until one of the following occurs: 1) They become a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) licensed in their designated working state OR 2) They receive a failing score on the nurse licensure exam and are moved to another position in which they
✓Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) - State Licensure - State Licensure/Or Compact State Licensure in state, depending upon designated work location - Required within 90 Days
Certifications
✓IV Certification - IV certified upon hire - Required Upon Hire
✓Basic Life Support (BLS) - Required within 90 Days
Education
✓Recent graduate of an accredited school of practical nursing, or military equivalent. - Required
Qualifications
✓Driver's License - Valid In State - If operating a motor vehicle for business purposes. - Required Upon Hire
✓Essential Technical/Motor Skills
✓Fine motor skills, eye/hand coordination, answer phone, type. Ability to give injections, administers medications, and change dressings.
✓Interpersonal Skills
✓Displays a friendly, positive attitude and communicates with patients, families, physicians and co-workers in a professional manner.
✓Ability to visually assess patient condition; must be able to communicate with patient in order to assess condition and evaluate effects of care.
✓Visual, hearing, feeling, smell.
✓Body fluids, blood, punctures, scratches, and physical injury from combative patients, radiation exposure.
✓Needle sticks, cuts, back injury, infection/disease exposure from patients, visitors, and co-workers.

About the role
The GPN – Graduate Practical Nurse works under the supervision of the Director. The GPN – Graduate Practical Nurse under the direction of the RN and/or Provider. Administers quality patient care according to established standards.
