Licensure
✓Board-certified/board-eligible emergency medicine-trained physician
✓Licensed Physician with a current Massachusetts Medical License required
✓Once board certified, physicians must maintain active board certification and provide evidence of prior ACLS and PALS certification.
Certifications
✓Active ACLS and PALS certification required.
Qualifications
✓Support continuing medical education for Haverhill ED staff, including organizing training sessions and in-service programs.
✓Serve as a mentor to physicians, APPs, and medical trainees rotating through the Haverhill ED.
✓Quality and Compliance
✓Monitor adherence to hospital policies and regulatory requirements, including Joint Commission and CMS standards, for the Haverhill ED.
✓Support efforts to reduce medical errors, adverse events, and hospital-acquired infections for the Haverhill ED.
✓Oversee compliance with EMTALA regulations and ensure proper documentation and reporting for the Haverhill ED.
✓Participate in regular morbidity and mortality reviews, addressing issues specific to the Haverhill ED and implementing necessary improvements.
✓Assist in root cause analyses for sentinel events and contribute to the development of quality improvement plans.
✓Liaison and Community Relations
