✓Certified Coding Specialist (CCS) required for facility coding.
Registered Health Information Administrator (RHIA), Registered Health Information Technician (RHIT) or Certified Risk Adjustment Coder (CRC) preferred.
Education
✓High School Diploma or GED required.

✓Minimum score of 85% on pre-employment coding test.
✓Ability to train coders remotely.
✓Ability to utilize related software and computer/PC skills.

About the role

Job Summary: The Health Information Coding Trainer ensures coders are trained and up to date on the latest regulatory changes and requirements that affect coding compliance and hospital reimbursement. The trainer handles all on-the-job training for new coding graduates, coders transitioning to another level, experienced coders for any special educational needs and annual and/or ongoing educational updates.
