H80 – General Medicine/Telemetry is a collaborative acute care unit dedicated to providing exceptional care for adults with various health concerns, that may include congestive heart failure, diabetes or other complex medical needs.
H80 offers nurses a dynamic and rewarding environment where you will build expertise in clinical assessment, care coordination, and patient-centered care while working within a supportive team that promotes professional growth and development. A caregiver in this position works Part-time, nights, 7:00pm—7:30am. A caregiver who excels in this role will: Conduct an in-person greeting, welcome and orientation to the unit for newly admitted and transferred patients.
Respond to patient call lights and make rounds. Assist with processing patient admissions, transfers and discharges. Assist patients and families with wayfinding and direct them to available resources.
Assemble and maintain patient medical records and other documents related to patient care. Assist with unit clerical functions and in trouble-shooting equipment failures, such as call system, portable phones, WOWs and other unit devices.

Requires full range of motion, manual and finger dexterity and eye-hand coordination. Requires frequent data entry, standing and walking for extensive periods of time. Requires normal or corrected speech, hearing and vision.
Requires some exposure to communicable disease or body fluids. Personal Protective Equipment: Follows standard precautions using personal protective equipment as required.
