The Health Unit Coordinator provides support in patient care areas to visitors, patients, and staff in a professional and caring manner. HOURS: Occasional 0.01 FTE, Hours and Shifts as Needed Experience/Qualifications Knowledge of patient care standards and general office practices normally acquired through completion of a High School diploma, GED, or equivalent combination of education and experience., and courses in computer applications and medical terminology.
Graduation from an accredited program for Health Unit Coordinators, or training/education to meet job requirements beneficial. Two years’ experience as a Health Unit Coordinator beneficial. Annual accrual of CEUs/continuing education requirements per Education Council recommendation for the given year.
