S ummary University of Vermont Health is seeking a Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) to join our team at the FitzPatrick Cancer Center, part of Champlain Valley Physicians Hospital located in Plattsburgh, New York. The NP/PA will see approximately 10 – 12 patients per clinic shift, conducting pre-treatment and long-term follow-up visits, managing symptoms associated with chemotherapy and radiation treatments, and may include some coverage for infusion therapies.

Schedule This is a full-time 1.0 FTE exempt position that will be working primarily Monday – Friday during daytime outpatient hours (8am – 5pm).
There is some flexibility for scheduling per APP preference. Experience Ideal candidates will have 2+ years clinical APP-level oncology experience. New graduates with experience caring for oncology patients in previous positions, clinical rotation(s) in oncology, and a demonstrated interest in specializing may be considered.
Success in this position will require extensive knowledge of disease processes, chemotherapy administration, symptom management, supportive care, and patient education. Education and Licensure Bachelor's degree required; master’s or doctorate degree preferred. Current (or eligible) unencumbered New York State licensure as a PA or NP required.
