Certifications
✓One of the following certifications is required:
✓Histotechnician [HT(ASCP)] – American Society for Clinical Pathology Board of Certification (ASCP-BOC)
✓Histotechnologist [HTL(ASCP)] – American Society for Clinical Pathology Board of Certification (ASCP-BOC)
Education
✓Bachelor's Degree Related Field of Study required
Qualifications
✓Histology experience 2-3 years required
✓Must possess fundamental knowledge of basic histotechnique to include fixation, decalcification, processing, embedding, and routine staining.
✓Ability to troubleshoot issues, train new staff, and manage problems in an effective and organized manner.
✓Maintains and updates clinical knowledge and skills.
