JOB SUMMARYOrganizes and conducts medically prescribed therapy programs in the home/daycare center to restore function to patient. EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATIONRequiredEducationUndergrad degree Experience1 year One to two (1
2) years of experience in occupational therapy Licenses and Certifications(BLS) BASIC LIFE SUPPORT Cardio
Pulmonary Resuscitation or Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, course accredited by the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross (ARC) Upon Hire and (DRIVERS) DRIVERS LICENSE Valid Texas Driver's License, proof of driver's insurance Upon Hire and Current licensure as Occupational Therapist Upon Hire PreferredExperienceHome Health experience JOB DUTIESDesigns occupational therapy programs and sets goals for each patient.Administers occupational therapy care programs or portions of programs.Provides instructions in therapeutic procedures to be continued by patient and family.Evaluates, records, and reports on patient's progress for review by members of care team.Maintains patient records and charts to ensure accurate record of treatment.Identifies patient's occupational therapy needs to achieve long and short-term goals to meet needs.Participates in Continuous Quality Improvement Program.Performs other duties as assigned.SECURITY AND EEO STATEMENTSecurityThis position is security-sensitive and subject to Texas Education Code 51.215, which authorizes UT Southwestern to obtain criminal history record information.EEOUT Southwestern Medical Center is committed to an educational and working environment that provides equal opportunity to all members of the University community.
