Find Your Passion and Purpose as a Hospice PhysicianLocation: Harbor Hospital at 3001 S Hanover StSalary: Per visitSchedule: Weekends, PRN What You Need to Know AccentCare is seeking a hospice inpatient visit physician to provide comprehensive medical oversight and direct patient care within an inpatient hospice setting. This physician will conduct patient rounds according to the required schedule, coordinate physician coverage, participate in discharge planning, and provide trusted clinical leadership and education to care team members.

If you meet these qualifications, we would love to meet you: Must be a licensed Medical Doctor (M. D.) or Doctor of Osteopathy (D.
O.) in the state(s) of practice, with training or experience in caring for chronically or terminally ill patientsMaintains active, unrestricted medical and DEA licenses in the state of MarylandWorking knowledge of hospice and palliative care, including pain and symptom management. Familiarity with hospice regulations and Medicare requirements. Strong clinical judgment and decision-making skills.
Excellent communication skills for interaction with patients, families, and providers. Ability to manage complex clinical and ethical situations in end-of-life care. (Preferred) Hospice or hospice visit experience
Develop and maintain Plan of Care for each patient, including discharge planning discussions with care team, patients, and familiesParticipate in prognosis evaluation and certification/recertificationSign death certificates as neededConduct daily patient rounds and set consistent rounding schedules with interdisciplinary teamEnsure proper documentation of eligibility for inpatient careProvide education and training to interdisciplinary team and new staffProvide after-hours call coverage on days with inpatient visits Why AccentCare?
