WORK SCHEDULE 100% FTE Evening Shift Friday to Tuesday, 3 pm to 11:30 pm POSITION HIGHLIGHTS Bringing a friendly voice to connect callers to their destination is an important part of the patient and family centered care provided at the University of Washington Medical Center (UWMC) and Harborview Medical Center (HMC) Provide prompt courteous service using your excellent communications skills with internal and external customers Be a part of a team dedicated to supporting UW Medicine where Patients Are First DEPARTMENT DESCRIPTION UW Medicine Telecom Team provides 24/7 coverage answering the UWMC and HMC switchboards Our team values excellent customer service, timely response, accurate dispatch and paging, and courteous processing of calls We receive, and route calls for our patients, their families, and staff PRIMARY

Answer all incoming calls into the main telephone numbers for the medical centers Transfer external and internal calls Provide visitor information and general customer service reception Receive and dispatch all emergency communication calls to include trauma codes, code blue, and other medical emergencies Paging services for patients, staff, and medical providers Monitor and respond to alarms REQUIREMENTS High School Diploma, or GED Certificate; AND one year of experience as a Telephone Communications Operator, or equivalent.
