You’ll need
Education
Associate's Degree in a Medical Records Department preferred.
Enrollment in an accredited Medical Records program for HIM/Coding preferred.
Qualifications
✓Ability to maintain confidentiality of patient information.
✓Ability to organize and maintain medical records accurately.
✓Strong attention to detail and documentation skills.
✓Ability to work effectively with physicians, clinical staff, and Health Information Management personnel.
Knowledge of Medical Records processes and procedures preferred.
Knowledge of Health Information Management (HIM) principles preferred.
Knowledge of medical coding practices preferred.
