About the Position: Provides compassionate and high-quality personal care and prescribes medical treatments to patients at Riverwood Health Care Center, in accordance with the scope of practice for a nursing assistant. Performs all duties under the supervision and delegation of a registered nurse, ensuring adherence to established care plans and facility protocols. What we are looking for: Education and Experience Minimum: High School Diploma or GED equivalent preferred.
Current and active registration as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) is highly preferred but not required for candidates who have already completed high school or obtained a GED. If currently enrolled in high school, the individual must have an active CNA registration or obtain CNA certification within six (6) months of hire. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification preferred; may be required upon hire based on departmental needs.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: Current Nursing Assistant (NA) registration with the Minnesota State Board of Nursing highly preferred. Current certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) or ability to obtain during orientation. Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) certification preferred, but not required.

Riverwood Healthcare Center is a 25-bed Critical Access hospital with three full-service clinics in Aitkin, McGregor, and Garrison. Riverwood has recently expanded its footprint in Aitkin with a state-of-the-art surgical center. Just two hours from the Minneapolis-St.
Paul metro, this is an opportunity to live and work where others play in the heart of Minnesota’s Northwoods and beautiful lakes country. Enjoy access to an abundance of natural wonders, including lakes, rivers and streams, state parks, wildlife refuges, and ATV and bike trails for all your outdoor recreational activities. 0600-1830 and 1800-0630 rotating day/night. Every third weekend.
