About the role

Position Summary: Transporters will work with hospital staff in ancillary departments, patient care units and the rehabilitation department to provide safe, courteous, and efficient transport services to all patients within Methodist Hospital inpatient areas.

Transporters will work with hospital staff in ancillary departments, patient care units and the rehabilitation department to provide safe, courteous, and efficient transport services to all patients within Methodist Hospital inpatient areas. Transporters will: Perform or assist with the transfers of patients to appropriate mode of transport vehicle. Utilize communication and technology to assist in the efficiency of the transport service.

Duties require initiative, organizational skills, written and telephone communication skills, base level computer skills, and meeting schedule timelines. Work collaboratively as a team with all care providers and other internal customers. Daily flexibility in work duties is a requirement to support the department in meeting its patient care needs.

Work

FTE .6, (24 hours per week), Days, 8:00 am – 4:30 pm, every other weekend. Required
