Onco-Hospitalist at Duke Raleigh Hospital Campus, Raleigh, NC Duke Raleigh Hospital is seeking a Board Certified/Board Eligible Internal Medicine physician to join our nationally recognized Hospital Medicine team with a special focus on oncology. This role will be based at our Duke Raleigh campus, which is a 230-bed facility with an average census of around the 200s in 2025. The hospital medicine census is around 70% of the hospital census.
Position Highlights Provide daytime care for hospitalized adult patients at our Duke Raleigh campus, including those admitted who have a primary issue of oncology, whether they are admitted for chemo, chemo side effects, end-of-life care, etc. Extensive and ongoing communications with primary oncology teams who routinely manage the cancer care of patients in the outpatient setting Closed ICU, no procedures expected, target census 13 pts/MD, team includes APP model Schedule is flexible, usually a 5-9-day block with a similar number of days off Candidate Qualifications MD or DO degree Completion of an ACGME-accredited Internal Medicine residency BC/BE in Internal Medicine Hematology/Oncology Fellowship preferred, but not required Eligible for unrestricted medical licensure in North Carolina Why Duke?
