RPH Sayre- is seeking a per diem Housekeeper to join our dedicated team serving Sayre, PA and nearby communities. As a Housekeeper in our Environmental Services team, you play a vital part in creating a safe, clean, and healing environment for patients, families, and staff. Your work directly supports Guthrie’s mission of delivering high‑quality, patient‑centered care across the region. Housekeepers ensures a clean, safe, and aseptic environment across inpatient, outpatient, and office areas. This role supports patient care by performing cleaning, disinfection, waste handling, and equipment maintenance while delivering exceptional customer service. Your Workday: Per Diem- Looking for 5pm
• 1am coverage includes weekdays, weekends, and holidays. A per diem position is an as-needed job where you work only when the employer needs coverage, rather than on a fixed full-time or part-time schedule. Their work directly impacts patient outcomes, staff safety, and Guthrie’s reputation for high-quality care Summary Performs a variety of general cleaning and disinfection tasks in both patient and ancillary areas. Removes waste in accordance with local, state and federal regulations. Provides exceptional service to internal and external customers. Experience No experience required. Education High School Diploma or GED is preferred.

Exhibits guiding behaviors that reflect Guthrie’s values and supports the organizational mission and vision. Performs inpatient, outpatient and/or office cleaning to ensure clean and aseptic environment. Reports maintenance issues to management (burned out lights, wall damage, leaking faucets, EVS equipment etc.).

Reports regulatory or safety issues to management. Maintains equipment, cart and closet in clean and safe working conditions, including ensuring appropriate levels of supplies are readily available. Identifies and segregates waste according to applicable state, federal and local regulations.

Remains compliant with all annual training requirements and participates in regular training to ensure a continued understanding of departmental policies and procedures. Participates in team meetings, working groups and committees as needed to assist in developing processes within the department. Operates Epic Rovers and vocera systems to facilitate effective communications within the department and to ensure timely completion of assigned tasks.
