The Housekeeping Aide is responsible for maintaining a clean, sanitary, and comfortable environment across Kittson Healthcare’s clinics, hospital, and long-term care settings. This position plays a vital role in promoting health and safety by ensuring high standards of cleanliness throughout the facility. Primary Responsibilities Include: Cleaning and sanitizing patient/resident rooms, restrooms, hallways, and public/common areas Maintaining cleanliness in administrative and clinical offices Following infection control protocols and safety procedures Properly disposing of waste, including biohazardous materials Operating and maintaining cleaning tools and equipment Managing cleaning supplies and adhering to usage guidelines Restocking housekeeping carts and cleaning supply storage areas Adhering to confidentiality and privacy regulations for residents and patients Support set up and cleanup for special facility events or meetings, as needed Assisting with laundry duties as needed Job

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Proficient in reading, writing, and speaking English Strong communication skills to interact with staff, patients, and visitors Understanding of healthcare cleaning standards and sanitation protocols Familiarity with infection prevention measures and OSHA safety regulations Knowledge of handling and disposing of biohazardous waste Competency with cleaning tools, products, and equipment Physical ability to lift, bend, and perform repetitive tasks for extended periods Commitment to confidentiality and resident/patient privacy

High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent One (1) year of general housekeeping experience preferred Must pass a Minnesota background check and fingerprinting TB test required within the first 3 weeks of employment Work
