You’ll need
Certifications
✓Active Refrigeration, Universal, or Healthcare Mechanic license/certification or obtained within the first two (2) years of employment required
EPA Universal Refrigerant Certification (EPA 608) preferred
Certified HVAC Technician preferred
Qualifications
✓3-5 years of experience in commercial or healthcare facility HVAC/R maintenance required
✓Proficiency in diagnosing and repairing HVAC/R systems, including electrical and control systems.
✓Knowledge of applicable local, state, and federal building codes and environmental regulations.
✓Ability to interpret blueprints, schematics, and equipment manuals.
✓Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
✓Effective communication and documentation skills.
✓Familiarity with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS).
✓Ability to work independently and prioritize multiple tasks.
✓Commitment to safety and infection prevention protocols in healthcare environments.
Experience working in a hospital or medical facility preferred
About the role
Maintains, troubleshoots, and repairs HVAC/R systems including air handlers, chillers, boilers, compressors, pumps, VAV systems, and related components.
