You’ll need
Licensure
✓Holds at minimum a current D2 or S2 Connecticut trade license and minimum of 5 years trade related experience in an institutional or commercial setting.
Education
✓High school or vocational school graduate, or equivalent.
Qualifications
✓Comprehensive knowledge in the operation and maintenance of all types of HVAC/R equipment.
✓Excellent troubleshooting skills
✓Thorough understanding of system sequence of operation and performance protocols
✓Understanding of air flow characteristics, including room pressurization, differential pressure
✓Understanding of steam fired hydronic heating and cooling systems.
✓Maintain documentation as required for regulatory and institutional purposes.
✓Maintain appropriate spare parts.
✓Shall have basic working knowledge of physical plant systems, including electrical, HVAC/R, steam, chilled water and plumbing.
✓Ability to read and interpret equipment schematics.
✓Ability to work with others of similar and various trades both within the hospital plant operations group and outside contractors.
✓Ability to work with minimal supervision, strong problem solving and communication skills.
Proficient with various computerized building management systems. Knowledge of Siemens or Trane BAS, a plus. preferred
