Licensure
✓All agency and non-hospital-based applicants must have Virginia Radiologic Technologist license application submitted prior to hire and licensure obtained within 90 days of hire.
Certifications
✓ARRT (R) registered required.
✓BLS Certification (Basic Life Support) - American Heart ‘Healthcare Provider’ (HCP) - AHA approved required.
✓New hires must have American Heart Association (AHA) appropriate certification prior to completion of orientation.
✓Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) required.
✓Certification required prior to completion of orientation.
✓ARRT (VI) registered or ARRT (CV) registered required within two years of hire.
Education
✓Completion of an AMA accredited Radiology Technology program required.
Qualifications
✓Two years clinical experience as a Radiologic Technologist in a hospital or surgical setting required.
✓Demonstrated knowledge of human growth and development required.
✓Competence in providing Angiographic/Interventional services for patients of all ages including pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric required.
✓Demonstrated progressive learning required.
✓Demonstrated knowledge and skill of the moderate sedation process required.
✓Ability to independently fulfill educational needs to pursue self-development opportunities required.
Two years of intensive training in special procedures preferred.
