Actual pay will be determined by experience, skills and internal equity. This is an Hourly position. OverviewOPEN TO ICC CNA STUDENTS ENROLLED FOR THE FALL 2026 SEMESTER ONLY The Education Stipend will be issued as a one-time payment of $1,700 and will be considered taxable income.
This is an education stipend opportunity. To be eligible for the education stipend, recipients must be of legal age to sign a contract, which is at least 18 years old. Upon completion of the ICC CNA program, education stipend recipients will enter a Patient Care Technician, or other role requiring a CNA certification at OSF Saint Francis Medical Center.
The Patient Care Technician/Certified Nursing Assistant (PCT/CNA) provides appropriate safe basic care to patients which includes taking vital signs, assisting patients with activities of daily living, specimen collection, and observation of patients for physical/emotional changes. Other duties include recording pertinent information in patient charts, communicating with other Patient Care Team members to ensure continuity of care, and may function in a role providing constant supervision to patients as needed.
Duties may vary according to department expectations and needs. QualificationsREQUIRED
To qualify for this education stipend, recipients must be enrolled in the Fall 2026 semester of the ICC CNA program. Recipients will have a 2 year work commitment to OSF Saint Francis Medical Center working as a Patient Care Technician. The required qualifications for our Patient Care Technicians are as follows: CNA-Certified Nurses Assistant CPR American Heart Association HealthCare Provider BLS
High School Diploma or GEDSix months experience in a clinical healthcare environmentSix months experience in supporting physical, emotional and psycho-social needs of patients OSF HealthCare is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
