The Imaging Reading Room Assistant provides essential administrative and operational support within the Radiology Reading Room, working closely with radiologists, attending physicians, residents, students, and radiology staff to help ensure an efficient and accurate imaging workflow.
This role serves as a key point of coordination for the reading room, assisting with phone and communication needs, troubleshooting workflow issues, coordinating with providers and clinical teams, and ensuring radiology orders are complete, accurate, and aligned with the patient’s clinical indication. The ideal candidate is highly detail-oriented, organized, responsive, and comfortable working in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
This individual will proactively identify and resolve issues, communicate effectively with multiple teams, and follow orders through to completion to help support timely patient care and accurate radiology interpretation. Assists with the work flow operations of the practice, maintenance of all documents and files, and project-oriented tasks.
This position maintains a high level of customer service with frequent contact with patients through telephone and in-person interactions. This position plays an important role in the hospital’s revenue cycle process, clinic operations, and patient experience.
