Certifications
✓Patient transporters can walk 8-10 miles per shift. *Patient care providers may be required to perform activities specific to their role including kneeling, bending, squatting and performing CPR.
Education
✓Associate’s Degree in Public Health, Healthcare Administration or a related field or
✓Bachelor’s Degree in Public Health, Healthcare Administration or a related field
Qualifications
✓3 years experience in healthcare or benefits assistance, particularly direct patient care, public health, social work, case management or customer service
✓Proficiency in use of Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook
✓Proficiency in data entry and familiarity with electronic health record systems
✓Ability to utilize resources effectively to overcome challenges and find solutions
✓Ability to multitask, problem-solve, and work in a fast-paced environment
✓Ability to stand or sit for extended periods
✓Ability to perform computer searches and telephonic outreach
✓Ability to work in hospital setting
✓May require weekend or holiday shifts depending on hospital needs
✓Requires travel to various on-site locations to conduct screenings, support on site staff/students, troubleshoot workflows, etc.
Bilingual skills (English/Spanish) preferred
Prior experience working in a healthcare setting preferred
Prior experience in community engagement or customer service preferred
