Certifications
Certification in Infection Prevention and Control (CIC) through CBIC preferred (or obtain within 2 years of start date)
Education
✓Bachelor’s degree in Health Sciences or a related field such as Nursing required
Master’s degree in Infection Control, Public Health, Epidemiology, or a related field preferred
Qualifications
✓At least three years of clinical healthcare experience required.
✓Demonstrated expertise in infection prevention and control practices required.
✓Strong understanding of regulatory requirements related to infection control (local, state, and federal) required.
✓Experience with CDC National Healthcare Safety Network (NHSN) and other surveillance systems for healthcare-associated infections required.
✓Familiarity with performance metrics and benchmarking tools (e.g., Vizient, Leapfrog, CMS)
✓Strong analytical skills, including data interpretation, statistical analysis, and report writing
