EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION RequiredEducationBachelor's Degree of Science Experience3 years of experience along with Bachelor's Degree in Medical Technology or 2 years of experience in epidemiology, research or infectious disease along with Master's Degree or No experience required with active RN license in the State of Texas or eligible for reciprocity Licenses and Certifications(BLS) BASIC LIFE SUPPORT Certification through a course accredited by the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross (ARC) PreferredLicenses and Certifications(CIC) Cert in Infection Cntrl strongly preferred JOB DUTIES Infection control surveillance for the University Hospitals.

Ensure compliance with CDC guidelines through active education of staff as well as on-site monitoring. Review medical records & consult with staff & physicians regarding potential infection control concerns. Data entry and review.

Performs other duties as assigned.
