You’ll need
Licensure
✓NJ State Professional Registered Nurse License or Licensed Practical Nurse.
✓An individual certified by the Certification Board of Infection Control and Epidemiology or meets the requirements under N.J.A.C. 8:39-20.2 or A physician who has completed an infectious disease fellowship or A healthcare professional licensed and in good standing by the State of New Jersey
Current and valid Nursing License in the State of New Jersey preferred
Certifications
✓Be qualified by education, training, experience or certification
✓Complete training by APIC, CDC, SHEA or other state approved sources or be certified by CBIC or NADONA or have 5 yrs. experience in Infection Control.
Education
Bachelor's Degree in Nursing preferred
Qualifications
✓Have primary professional training in nursing, medical technology, microbiology, epidemiology, or another related field
✓Have completed specialized training in infection prevention and control.
✓Participation on quality assessment and assurance committee.
✓Current with all Continuing Education (CE) requirements
✓Serve as patient advocate and role model to other Team Members
✓Ability to effectively work on a multidisciplinary team
Computer skills, including Microsoft Office preferred
Previous Infection Control/Prevention experience is a plus preferred
Two (2) years of nursing experience preferred
