This team of more than 400 dedicated individuals keeps UAB Medicine’s IT systems and infrastructure running smoothly to deliver quality care to our patients and business support to our organization. You’ll join a large team with a passion for healthcare information technology and being part of a mission-driven organization. Duties To independently employ a broad knowledge of principles, practices, and procedures in a particular field of specialization to plan, design, develop and support systems and projects.
To conduct research and analysis and presents findings for review. To carry out complex assignments requiring the development of new or improved techniques and procedures. Qualifications Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Information Systems or a related field and six (6) years of related experience required.
Work experience may substitute for education requirement. PREFERRED
- One of the following certifications preferred:
- CISSP
- CCNA
- CEH, OSCP, GPEN Experience with 1 or more of the items outlined below in a Healthcare setting preferred:
- Cloud Security o Data protection policies o CNAPP administration o Baseline Configuration (Conditional Access policies, NIST, CIS Benchmarks, Vendor best practices) o Support the development and execution of enterprise-wide Cloud security program
- SIEM and Data Engineering o Management of enterprise SIEM solution o Administering Data Engineering layer of SIEM (i.e. Cribl, bindplane, SentinelOne , etc.) o Design, implement, and maintain security telemetry architecture to support threat detection, incident response, compliance monitoring, and operational analytics. o Implementing Data Models o Trimming and filtering log sources (regex, python, etc...)
- DevSecOps & CI/CD Security Design and implement security controls within CI/CD pipelines to support secure software delivery. Define standards for secure code repositories, build systems, artifact management, and deployment automation. Integrate security testing into development workflows, including: Static Application Security Testing (SAST) Dynamic Application Security Testing (DAST) Software Composition Analysis (SCA) Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) scanning Container security scanning Develop safeguards against software supply chain attacks and unauthorized code changes. Provide architectural guidance for containerized and cloud-native applications.
- AI Security Architecture Design and maintain enterprise AI security architecture standards, patterns, and reference architectures. Evaluate and mitigate risks associated with generative AI, machine learning platforms, large language models (LLMs), agents, and AI-enabled applications. Develop security controls for AI systems covering data protection, model security, prompt security, identity management, supply chain security, and monitoring. Conduct security reviews and threat modeling of AI initiatives prior to production deployment. Define technical security requirements for AI platforms, AI development environments, and AI service integrations. Collaborate with governance and compliance teams to ensure responsible and secure AI adoption.
