The Interpreter/Translator provides competent and culturally sensitive Spanish in-person, telephone, and video-remote interpretation for patients and their families/caregivers with Limited English Proficiency (LEP). Serves all sites licensed under Loma Linda University Medical Center (LLUMC) license. Maintains working knowledge of all applicable state and federal regulations and organizational policies related to LEP.

Documents interpretation in medical record according to established guidelines. Adheres to the Code of Professional Ethics and Standards of Practice developed by the California Healthcare Interpreters Association. Utilizes interpersonal skills to maximize customer service in a manner that supports excellence in customer service and safe patient care.

These services may be provided for both the LLUMC and LLUCH hospitals. Performs other duties as needed. Education and
