The Intervention Specialist is responsible for performing a variety of duties involved in carrying out general and specialized intervention programs as well as team member education regarding implementation and monitoring of these interventions.

Provides information relative to assessment to all disciplinesProvides input into intervention plans in conjunction with appropriate disciplineCommunicates effectiveness of interventions to appropriate disciplineMaintains orderly and appropriately stocked supplies and activities on unitFacilitates implementation of daily activity schedule in conjunction with Program CoordinatorProvides training of intervention plans to various disciplines involved in patient careMonitors implementation of intervention plans and provides feedback regarding plan implementationProvides direct behavior therapy and active treatment programming on individual and/or group basis including proactive strategies and crisis intervention and models programming for all team membersAssists with maintaining a structured milieuCollects, records, and enters data on observable patient behaviorAccepts participation in special projects and appointments to hospital committees as appropriateAssists with floor coverage and other unit duties, as necessaryOther Functions:Maintains compliance with all company policies, procedures and standards of conductComplies with HIPAA privacy and security requirements to maintain confidentiality at all timesPerforms other duties as assignedAdditional

High school diploma or GED/equivalent (required)Bachelor’s Degree in Human Service field (preferred)

A minimum of five (5) years of experience in human services is required for applicants without Bachelor’s Degree (required)Certification:Basic Life Support (BLS) accredited by the American Heart Association (AHA) (required)
