Full time · Day Performs radiographic and/or medical imaging and related procedures to assist in diagnosis and treatment of patients. Provides patient care services and evaluates outcomes Performs radiographic and/or medical imaging and related procedures to demonstrate structures for interpretations and/or therapeutic intervention by or at the request of the practitioner Provides and documents correct hemodynamic data and other required information to interpreting provider Provides safety measures for patients undergoing procedures Performs and modifies patient care activities pre, intra, and post procedurally to encompass individual patient needs Communicates variances or significant events/results to appropriate caregiver Reports patient status and availability regularly Maintains supplies and equipment inventory Stocks and prepares procedure rooms for daily cases Maintains inventory level to meet needs Orders supplies for diagnostic and interventional procedures daily Maintains quality control and quality assurance for division equipment Performs quality monitoring activities for equipment, film, and radiation exposure Participates in quality assurance monitoring within the Division Assumes any applicable responsibility for assigned equipment; reporting any equipment malfunctions Participates as a member of the team to achieve business goals, quality outcomes and customer satisfaction Provides assistance to team members as requested or required Regular and timely attendance is required for this job Participates on committees/councils and performance improvement activities as requested/required Successful completion of probation and annual skills/competency requirements Practices within legal, ethical and professional boundaries Maintains expertise in the area Serves as a role model by demonstrating positive team-based behaviors Shows commitment to personal professional growth through the pursuit of advanced knowledge and skills Safeguards confidential information Performance of duties will be in compliance with all laws and regulations governing healthcare organizations Education
Required: Graduate of Committee of Allied Health Education and Accreditation (CAHEA) accredited radiographic program License or Certification
Required: Certification: Certified by the American Registry of Radiological Technology in Radiography, or registry eligible (must be certified by the American Registry of Radiological Technology within 90 days of employment) Required: License: Valid Mississippi Medical Radiation Technologist (MRT) Licensure Experience
Required: None Preferred: One (1) year in a cath lab setting Knowledge: Basic EKG knowledge
Proficient in hemodynamic monitoring and valve calculation Proficient using operating equipment and instruments utilized in patient care procedures Abilities: Care for incapacitated patients and identify patient's needs Interpret physicians' instruction Work Environment: Employee will be subject to the effects of radiation energy. Physical Demands: Ability to speak and hear for effective communication. Visual acuity and manual dexterity to manipulate equipment and use keyboard and processes information.
Ability to stand and walk for long periods of time. Ability to lift, push, pull and position patients and equipment.
