The Interventional Vascular Technologist collaborates closely with Vascular Surgeons and an experienced interdisciplinary team to provide high-quality patient care during minimally invasive vascular procedures.

Prior interventional vascular experience is preferred, but we welcome motivated new graduates who are eager to learn and grow.
A caregiver in this position will work rotating shifts, with start times varying by week. Available start times include 7:00 a.m., 7:30 a.m., 8:00 a.m., and 8:30 a.m. Caregivers will also be on call one day per week and will work every fifth weekend, unless staffing needs require additional weekend coverage.
A caregiver who excels in this role will: Utilize sterile or aseptic technique to scrub in and perform vascular, interventional, and surgical procedures per protocol. Educate patients regarding procedures, equipment, and exams to ensure understanding and cooperation. Ensure patients safety and comfort during and after exams.
Demonstrate understanding of primary purpose of drugs used in IR, indications, contraindications, contrast drug interactions and major effects. Record and maintain procedural data to include injection data, elapsed fluoroscopic time and procedural information. Monitor equipment, systems, clean equipment, and effects timely repair.
Learn new technical information and skills through attendance of periodic in-service programs and participation in professional affiliation sessions.
