LOCATION : Maluhia | Dietary POSITION STATUS : Temporary, Full-Time with Benefits SALARY RANGE : BU01 | BC02 SALARY RATE: $54,408.00 (Annual Salary) Effective 7/1/26 Appointments may be extended/converted to permanent as deemed necessary by management. JOB DUTIES : This position is located in the Food and Nutrition Services (Dietary) section of Maluhia. The incumbent is responsible for performing routine work in the cafeteria such as serving of meals, cleaning and washing of kitchen utensils and equipment, washing dishes, pots and pans; janitorial duties and delivering tray carts to patient’s units.
Performs other related duties as assigned. The incumbent of this position may also provide services at Leahi Hospital. THE MINIMUM QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS ARE: Applicants must meet all of the following requirements.

Prefer high school graduate with good oral and written comprehension of the English language. Knowledge of food safety and sanitation requirements, quantity food production, and operations of food service equipment is desirable. Knowledge of : Preparation of raw and processed food to be cooked; methods, materials, and equipment used in cleaning kitchen equipment, appliances and utensils; kitchen safety and sanitation requirements; personal hygiene.
Ability to : Learn quantity cookery; operate kitchen equipment and appliances; measure food servings and serve food; give and receive oral and written instructions; work cooperatively with others; oversee the work of patients or inmates; tolerate kitchen heat and noises; perform heavy lifting, moving and carrying typical of the class.
