✓High School Diploma or GED Required
Qualifications
✓1-3 years of experience as a phlebotomist or laboratory technician in a hospital/medical facility or medical assistant with hospital/medical laboratory testing experience Required
✓Knowledge of laboratory terminology and equipment.
✓Knowledge of moderately complex and waived laboratory tests processes and testing procedures.
✓Knowledge of quality control procedures to maintain/ensure testing integrity.
✓Knowledge of safety and infection control practices to ensure a safe environment of care.
✓Familiar with regulatory compliance in quality control and competency requirements.
✓Good communication and customer relation skills to ensure patient safety and quality processes in the laboratory.
✓Excellent organizational skills and detail-oriented work in identifying, accessioning, and handling specimens for processing and testing.
✓Basic computer and hospital/laboratory information system skills
