You’ll need
Education
✓High school education or equivalent required.
Bachelor's degree in languages, health care, or related field is preferred.
Qualifications
✓Minimum of two years' experience with language translation in both verbal and written communication required.
✓Prior experience in a health care setting required.
✓Completion of an approved Medical Interpreter Training Course within 60 days of hire or transfer date required (Training provided within the department onboarding process).
✓Fluency in both verbal and written communication of the English and Spanish languages as well as familiarity with target cultures and customs required.
✓Demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to organize and manage multiple concurrent tasks required.
✓Proficiency with computer programs for Microsoft Word, Excel, and Spanish Word required.
Previous completion of an approved Medical Interpreter training course preferred.
Knowledge of and experience with Propio One (telephone service), statistical databases, and video relay interpretation equipment preferred.
