You’ll need
Certifications
✓Possess Certified Cardiographic
✓Obtains Certified Cardiographic Technician (CCT) certification, Cardiac Rhythm Monitoring certification (CRAT) or National Telemetry Certification (National Telemetry Association) within one year into position.
✓The department will determine which certification is appropriate per the department workflows.
Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification is preferred.
Education
✓High school diploma or its equivalent is required.
✓Associate’s degree in a health science field
Qualifications
✓Minimum of three years’ experience as a cardiac technician required.
✓Knowledge of basic cardiac anatomy and physiology. Working knowledge of basic and intermediate life threatening cardiac rhythms, special equipment used in cardiac testing, computers, and medical terminology.
✓Must meet one of the following criteria dependent on facility needs as it may vary by needs:
✓Three years’ experience as a cardiac technician
