Lead Housekeeper

Shift working Lead. Mentors and trains housekeepers. Coordinates efforts of the housekeepers as directed by the EVS supervisor.

Provides hospital environmental cleaning services. Responsible for maintaining the hospital in a sanitary, attractive, safe and orderly condition by organizing, delegating and arranges staff assignments as needed or directed by EVS supervisor or director. Responsibilities Routinely performs sanitation and environmental cleaning services and may include oversight for all sanitation, cleaning, inspection, and evaluation of the physical condition of the facility.

Carries the EVS response phone when the supervisor is not on shift and makes sure the work flow is being adequately distributed. Responsible for assisting in the training, mentoring and development of environmental services housekeeping staff. Provides performance feedback to management, assesses and improves the performance of the department.

Evaluates facility conditions and needs and delegates appropriate assignments. Keeps accurate records regarding project completion, etc. Oversees assigned set-ups.

Other related job tasks or responsibilities as assigned. Minimum Requirements

Ability to read, to follow oral and/or written instructions in English.

Two years in environmental services in a hospital setting, or a minimum of four years in another environmental services setting, I. E. school, medical office, long term care facility, etc. Preferred Requirements
