- Medical Assistant, you will provide essential support in our health care clinic by preparing patients for examination and managing various clerical duties. Under the supervision of the Office Supervisor/Manager, you will ensure the smooth operation of clinic activities, acting as a receptionist, medical assistant, or lab assistant as needed. Your role is critical in maintaining the efficiency and effectiveness of patient care. Prepare patients for examination by taking vital signs, documenting medical histories, and assisting with procedures. Perform clerical duties such as scheduling appointments, managing patient records, and handling correspondence. Support the clinic¿s operations by functioning as a receptionist, medical assistant, or lab assistant as assigned.
Ensure compliance with clinic protocols and maintain a clean, organized, and safe environment for patients and staff. Collaborate with healthcare providers to deliver seamless and compassionate patient care. Qualifications Required Qualifications Graduate from a CAAHEP or ABHES Medical Assistant Program, or a formal medical assistant program with a minimum of five years of continuous work experience as a Medical Assistant with verifiable clinical experience. Completion of a clinical externship. Three (3) years of experience as a Medical Assistant.
Ability to perform a wide variety of clinical skills related to ambulatory patient care. Basic computer knowledge and keyboarding skills. Successful completion of HFMG pharmacology class and test.
Current BLS-C certificate. One of the following
Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) from AAMA, Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) from AMT, Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA) from NHA, or National Certified Medical Assistant (NCMA) from NCCT.
