About the role

Job Summary: Under general supervision, functions as the Lead Ophthalmic Assistant for the Division of Ophthalmology and provides technical oversight, training and assessment of quality standards within the division. Coordinates daily ophthalmic assistant staffing levels. Performs numerous functions to prepare patients for evaluation by an Ophthalmologist and/or Optometrist.
