You’ll need
Certifications
✓Certified Ophthalmic Assistant, Certified Ophthalmic Technician, or Certified Ophthalmic Medical Technologist is required within 6 months of hire.
✓American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support for the Healthcare Provider (BLS) or an AHA approved equivalent is required.
Education
✓High School diploma or equivalent is required.
Qualifications
✓A minimum of 2 years of Ophthalmic/Optometric Tech or Specialist experience is required.
✓Demonstrates proficiency in all Ophthalmic Specialist duties. Effective verbal and written communication skills Ability to work effectively with others in problem identification and resolution. Proficiency with EMR usage.
