Performs the duties of a security officer, ensuring the safety and security of the campus. Participates in monitoring, guiding, and evaluating staff performance to maintain high standards. Contributes to efficient operations by coordinating activities, prioritizing workflow, and promoting decision-making and problem-solving.
Reviews staff reports for accuracy, clarity, and completeness to ensure proper documentation. Investigates, documents, and manages security incidents and hazards, addressing escalated or unresolved issues. Identifies recurring security operational issues, collaborates with leadership to develop solutions, and works with the Security Management team on implementation.
Assists the Security Supervisor/Manager with shift staffing, organizational planning, budget preparation, staff development, and Committee Chair responsibilities. Operates vehicles safely to avoid accidents and traffic or parking violations. Reads, comprehends, writes, and understands legal reports, narratives, and safety rules, and communicates effectively through clear speech and hearing.
Utilizes computer literacy to use basic hospital/security applications and information management systems. Other duties as assigned. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Working knowledge of CCTV, Access Control, and other security systems Continuum, Milestone, CCure, etc [Preferred]
