The UHS Corporate Legal Department is seeking a a Legal Intern to work with the UHS of Delaware, Inc. (UHS) attorneys and UHS Corporate Compliance Department on a variety of impactful assignments related to the healthcare and insurance industries, both legal and compliance related for Summer 2026. Reports to the Associate General Counsel and receives feedback and guidance on all work.

Hybrid work environment. Will consider students looking to receive school credit. Please submit a resume, writing sample and also a transcript.

Job Duties: Conducts factual and legal research and analysis related to healthcare laws and regulations and healthcare policy; drafts contracts. Drafts and prepares memorandums, contracts, legal training presentations, policies, and other corporate documents. Gains understanding of the UHS business model and how the Legal Department functions as part of the business.

Participates in department and other meetings to learn ongoing initiatives. Qualifications Active enrollment in good standing in an accredited law degree program and beginning 2nd or 3rd year of law school. GPA Minimum: 3.00 Healthcare experience preferred.

Working knowledge and competence using standard PC software programs, including Microsoft Office. Excellent interpersonal, communication and time management skills. Strong problem solving and analytical skills.

Self-starter who enjoys working in a team environment.
