Licensed Practical Nurse EMERGENCY DEPT. Union: 1199 FULL TIME ALTERNATING WEEKENDS 11AM-11:30pm $35.8571
Under supervision of an RN, performs a head-to-toe assessment on all patients and re- assesses as per policy. Provides direct care and indirect patient care services that meet psychosocial, physical and general aspects of care. Revise plan of care as indicated by the patient’s response to treatment.
Assists in formulation of a teaching plan based on identified patient learning needs and evaluates effectiveness of learning. Assists physicians with procedures and performs services requiring technical and manual skills under the direction of the RN. Meets current documentation standards and policies.
Communicates with Social Services regarding patient needs. Knowledge of medications and their correct administration based on age of the patient and their clinical condition. Ability to perform treatments and provide services according to scope of practice.
Requirements/Qualifications: Current LPN licensure in New York State BCLS required Bilingual (English/Spanish preferred) Basic computer skills Child abuse Certification Education High School Diploma/Equiv (required) Licenses and Certifications NYS LPN (required) BLS CERT AMERICAN HEART (required)
