The Licensed Clinical Social Worker is responsible for providing high quality patient care, displaying good skills in completion of psychosocial assessments, group therapy, individual therapy, family therapy, treatment and discharge planning. The Therapist is expected to function as a member of the multidisciplinary team and participate in the units community relations program. POSITION EDUCATION/ QUALIFICATIONS­: Licensed Clinical Social Worker.

If licensed in another state, it must be transferable to a Texas license. Master’s Degree in social work from an accredited university Current BLS or Certification within 3 months of hire date CPI training within 30 days of hire date Must be able to be sensitive to cultural and bilingual issues. Working Conditions: The individual spends over 95% of his/her time in an air-conditioned environment with varying exposures to noise. There is protection from weather conditions but not necessarily from temperature changes. The position does have low exposure to malodorous, infectious body fluids from patients and some minimal exposure to noxious smells from cleansing agents.

Occupational Exposure: This position has minimal to no exposure to blood, body fluids, or tissues and is an OSHA Category III (although situations can be imagined or hypothesized under which anyone, anywhere, might encounter potential exposure to body fluids).
