✓Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) (Required)
LPCC status within one year of eligibility (Preferred)
Education
✓Master's Degree from accredited school of Counseling Required
Qualifications
✓Attainment of LPCC status is encouraged with one year of eligibility. (Required proficiency)
✓Demonstrates ability to interact professionally with physicians, nurses and other members of the healthcare team. (Required proficiency)
✓Demonstrates ability to apply theoretical and clinical knowledge in delivery of care. (Required proficiency)
✓Multi tasks and prioritizes work. (Required proficiency)
✓Performs autonomously as a professional. (Required proficiency)
✓Excellent verbal and written communication. (Required proficiency)
Hospital/Health Agency experience (Preferred)
The Psych Emergency Access Center is the evaluation and transfer center for the psychiatric population in all of our entity emergency departments. preferred
The LPC performs direct evaluations to determine admission or discharge. preferred
Patients are seen both in-person and telemedicine. preferred
It is a very fast-paced environment as patients from all entities are seen within one hour of referral time. preferred
The ideal candidate will be autonomous, reliable, a critical thinker, have a crisis background, have strong passion for the psychiatric population, and be a self-starter. preferred
The position alternates between inpatient at our Cleveland Medical Center and telemedicine at our corporate office in Shaker Heights. preferred
It is 32 hours per week, night shift. preferred
The schedule is (2) 12-hour shifts (7:00p-7:30am) and (1) 8-hour shift (11:00p-7:30am) per week: Mon-Fri, with rotating weekends and holidays. preferred
Four 8-hour shifts per week will be considered. preferred
