✓Requirements
Licensure
✓Must have a current certification or licensure by the State of Louisiana (LCSW, LPC, or LMFT) or under supervision pursuing licensure for LCSW, LPC, or LMFT.
Education
✓Master's degree from an accredited college or university in a mental health field required.
Qualifications
✓Two years post graduate work experience in mental health or related field preferred. Two years direct practice experience and/or clinical (graduate, continuing ed., etc.) training specific to individual, family and group therapy (if specialized issues group, training must be specific to issue).
✓Working Knowledge: Must have good clinical skills to assess dynamics accurately and develop effective treatment strategies within the context of the overall treatment plan.
✓Must have good analytical ability to evaluate information reported by all members of the treatment team and revise treatment strategies accordingly.
✓Must have communication and teamwork abilities to support the clinicians, nurses and utilization review colleagues working with the population.
✓Must possess a working knowledge of how to identify appropriate referral resources within the community and organizational skills to engage in case management, including discharge planning.
