The 365-bed facility is one of the largest free-standing psychiatric hospitals in the United States. We are located on a serene 37-acre campus in northeast Shelby County, serving as the setting for the treatment for children, adolescents, young adults, adults and seniors. The Therapist provides clinical social work services on a designated unit in a manner consistent with the philosophy and objectives of Lakeside Behavioral Health. The Therapist is responsible for psychosocial assessments, individual, group and family therapy, participation in treatment team planning, processing commitments, and discharge planning/case management service, crisis intervention and liaison services with referral sources and other departments within the hospital.

Staff must demonstrate flexibility for reassignment to units providing care to varied populations including, adults and dually diagnosed patients in an inpatient and partial hospital setting.
Master’s degree in Social Work, Clinical/Counseling Psychology or Social Services related field required, licensure preferred.
- Prior experience working with a psychiatric mental health population, preferably in an inpatient setting. Licensure/Certification: TN LCSW, LPC, LP preferred. Knowledge: Prefer knowledge of case management, discharge planning, group leadership skills, age specific growth and development, crisis and behavior management, family therapy theory and practice.
