Primary Duties and Responsibilities Under general supervision, this position will assist physician/provider with all general medicine or specialized medical practice duties as a Medical Assistant within the scope of practice. As the limited X-Ray Technician perform diagnostic x-rays within their licensure for patients of all ages and assumes responsibility for accuracy under the direction of the radiologist; works effectively with patients and other clinic personnel.
The limited x-ray technician is also responsible for all duties relating to the darkroom. Performs other duties as assigned. Education and Experience Required: Required: High school Diploma or GED Required Graduate of a State recognized vocational School Certificate of completion from an accredited limited radiology program, including digital training MA Certificate Current CPR Certificate Basic computer skills including Microsoft Word, Windows Knowledge/experience with GE RIS and PACS Preferred: Associate or Bachelors’ degree in healthcare-related field Working Knowledge of EPIC or other Electronic Medical Record system ‘EMR’ Qualified bilingual or multilingual candidates Licenses Required N/A Licenses Preferred N/A Certifications Required LXT – Limited Permit Radiation Technologist to include Digital Radiography, Chest, Extremities and Torso-Skeletal or Radiology Technician – Diagnostic Current BLS Certification Certifications Preferred N/A Physical Job Requirements
